A Portrait Experience That Honors the Woman You've Become
You've lived, learned, built, nurtured, overcome, and evolved.
The 40 Over 40 Magazine & Exhibition Series is a portrait, storytelling, and community arts initiative by Penny Fraser to celebrate the lives, accomplishments, and experiences of women in their 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, and beyond.
As we celebrate the 5th Anniversary Edition of the series, we honor the remarkable women who continue to shape our families, businesses, professions, arts, and communities throughout South Florida.
Through portraiture, personal storytelling, magazine publication, public exhibitions, and community events, the project creates opportunities for visibility, connection, and meaningful dialogue while preserving the stories and contributions of women whose experiences are often underrepresented in traditional media and cultural narratives.
Participants contribute to a growing cultural archive that documents the resilience, leadership, creativity, service, and wisdom of women across generations. Together, these stories create a powerful collective portrait of the women who help shape and strengthen our communities.
Since its inception, the series has celebrated women from diverse professional, cultural, and personal backgrounds while fostering community engagement through the arts. The project serves as both an artistic initiative and a living archive, preserving stories that might otherwise go undocumented while inspiring future generations.
More than a photoshoot, this is an opportunity to celebrate your journey, share your story, and become part of a project that promotes representation, connection, and community through art and storytelling.
Whether you are a community leader, professional, business owner, artist, educator, nonprofit leader, entrepreneur, or simply embracing a new chapter in life, your story matters.
Your Experience
The 40 Over 40 experience is thoughtfully designed to honor your journey while creating meaningful portraits and storytelling that may inspire others.
From your initial consultation through your portrait session and final image reveal, every detail is crafted to help you feel confident, comfortable, and beautifully represented. Together, we will create portraits that celebrate who you are today while preserving your story for future generations.
Participants are invited to share their personal stories through an interview and may be featured in the annual magazine and public exhibition alongside other extraordinary women from across South Florida.
This is your opportunity to celebrate how far you've come, honor the woman you've become, and take your place in a growing legacy of women whose stories deserve to be seen, shared, and remembered.
Your story matters. Your legacy matters. Your time is now.
